GigaOM senior writer Mathew Ingram wrote in an article this week that on the attitude of traditional media outlets toward collaboration with digital media startups. The article, “The biggest roadblock to media success? A traditional culture of journalistic hubris,” cites research from J-Lab’s Networked Journalism report on news collaboration models.
Based on the report findings, Ingram says that journalistic hubris and “hostility towards non-traditional sources was a huge barrier to collaboration in many cases.”
