Keep the conversation going about what it takes to be the operator of an online community news site – balancing revenue and editorial concerns.

Current and wannabe community news site founders are invited to a networking social on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. — right before the Online News Association conference’s opening reception.

This gathering is hosted by J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism at American University and the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri. Meeting space is graciously provided by NPR.

An informal gathering, with hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and networking.
