Three local women from the town of New Castle win a J-Lab grant for $12,000 to create an online newspaper. Christine Yeres, Susan Pender and Ann Marie Fallon call their project the New Castle News Forum and will explore local issues, The New York Times wrote:
“SOME Westchester communities, like Tarrytown, Scarsdale and Irvington, still have local newspapers to cover the goings-on of small-town life. The Town of New Castle, including the hamlets of Chappaqua and Millwood, however, with its 17,491 residents, does not.
